Solar Rooftop System

Solar Rooftop Kit

Typically, a rooftop solar power system, or rooftop PV system, consists of solar panels mounted on the roof of a building or structure to generate electricity. Photovoltaic modules, mounting systems, cables, solar inverters, and other electrical accessories are among the components of such a system.

Compared to utility-scale solar ground-mounted photovoltaic power stations with capacities in the megawatt range, rooftop systems are much smaller. Most rooftop PV stations are Grid-connected photovoltaic power systems. Rooftop PV systems on residential buildings usually have a capacity of 5 to 20 kilowatts (kW), while those mounted on commercial buildings usually have capacities of 100 kilowatts to 1 megawatt (MW). The size of a roof can accommodate industrial-scale PV systems ranging from 1 to 10 megawatts.
